EUGENE / JANUARY 17, 2021 - Eugene-based company Deployed Logix (DLX) partnered with U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to deliver shelters and desperately needed medical supplies to 11 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. SOUTHCOM, a division of the U.S. Department of Defense, is hard at work to aid U.S. Embassies across the Southern Americas with donated pandemic relief funded through their Humanitarian Aid Program (HAP). This was a large-scale, international project that required collaboration between the humanitarian organization,
healthcare institutions, multiple embassies, defense forces, and more.
Receiving countries include: Costa Rica // Peru // Ecuador // El Salvador // Brazil // The Dominican Republic // Panama // Guatemala // Jamaica // Uruguay.
DLX was brought into this project to supply 24 complete field hospitals capable of housing up to 40 patients each. Most of the configurations came equipped with generators and climate control units based on the needs of the host country. DLX coordinated with SOUTHCOM to ensure each hospital was delivered in a timely manner and deployment-ready. DLX also provided certified training to the receiving institutions in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
