Profile

Shanita has a passion for entrepreneurship, community building and coffee! She is the co-founder and co-CEO of Sip & Sonder, a coffee house and roastery where coffee, community, and culture truly connect. She is also the co-founder of Sonder Impact, which is Sip & Sonder's 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate that is committed to empowering Black communities to take ownership of their personal and professional capacity building. As an attorney, Shanita's law practice focuses on general corporate start-up work, venture capital financing and private equity mergers and acquisitions. Shanita holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and a J.D./MBA from Columbia Law and Business Schools. She is an army brat with roots in Prince Georges County, MD.
