More than 40 years of in-depth experience with major retail chains and consumer package goods manufacturers have made Thom Blischok one of the most influential and in-demand consultants and growth advisors throughout these industries, both in the US and abroad. His record of achievement includes being a strategic advisor to major retailers in the Grocery, Drug, Apparel, Convenience Store, Dollar, e-Commerce, Mass Market and Club channels. In the CPG industry he has led key industry operating model transformations at the C-Suite level, and his impact on these companies as an advisor, speaker, trend analyst, and popular presenter continues to be broad reaching and highly profitable to the clients he serves.

At Retail, his advisory services center on the ongoing restructuring of retail driven by digital. He is known for helping clients become “disruptive” though innovations in merchandising,
marketing, in-store experience, Omni-channel retailing, supply chain, and technology. Thom led FMI’s “Digitally Engaged Food Shopper” Strategic initiative defining the impact of e-commerce on grocery through 2025.

From a CPG perspective, Thom helps manufacturer organizations design and implement improved operating models focused on delivering a capabilities driven approach to competing in the future at retail. His focus is helping manufacturers “De-invest to Re-invest” in the transformational capabilities destined to achieve market leadership and differentiation.

Over the past forty years Thom has had the opportunity to provide transformational, organizational and operational leadership across the industry as Chief Retail Strategist at Price Waterhouse Coopers, President of Global Retail at Information Resources, Inc., Global Chairman of Retail and Distribution for Coopers and Lybrand, Managing Partner at AT&T Global Information Systems Consulting, and an operating executive to Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Symphony, Lionel Trains, and Equifax.
