Rob is an experienced and decisive executive with a strong background in store operations, marketing, format development, and store merchandising. Rob's personal passion is in helping CEO's, boards, and senior leaders build high performance teams that drive outstanding financial results, sustain competitive differentiation, and build organizational cultures that last.
Rob began his retail career with leading food & drug retailer H-E-B . While at H-E-B Rob served as SVP Store Operations, Chief Change Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer. At H-E-B Rob led dozens of game changing initiatives, served on the Senior Leadership team, and was a major contributor to the company's transformation from a excellent regional operator to a world class retailer, and one of the world's most admired companies. For over sixteen years, Rob made significant contributions in organizational change. leadership development and process improvement across functions including operations, facilities, information technology, pharmacy, new format development, and marketing.
Subsequent to H-E-B, Rob served as COO of Rite Aid Drug Stores where he was responsible for the integration of 1,800 acquired stores and the development of an industry leading Pharmacy loyalty program. Rob has also served as COO of Westlake Ace Hardware, the nation’s largest Ace dealer. Most recently, Rob served as COO at Earth Fare Supermarkets, an organic and natural foods supermarket chain.
Rob holds a BBA in finance with honors from Texas A&M University, an MBA with honors from The University of Texas at Austin, and an Advanced Management Certificate from Harvard Business School
