Laura Temke is the Food Safety Manager at Sendik’s Food Markets- Balistreri family owned and operated grocery stores- located in southeastern Wisconsin. Laura oversees the Food Safety and Sanitation for 17 retail locations, 2 small processing facilities and distribution center. Prior to joining the Sendik's team, Laura spent 17 years working in regulatory food inspection programs at the local level in southeastern Wisconsin. She currently serves as the Wisconsin Environmental Health Association (WEHA) Director at Large and is active in the Conference for Food Protection (CFP). Laura is PCQI certified as well as a Certified Professional of Food Safety (CPFS) and a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS). She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental and Public Health from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and is working towards her Master’s in Public Health and Disaster Management from Tulane University.
