This workshop is designed to help baristas better understand the process and importance of dialing in espresso. We will explore the many nuances of coffee and how those features will effect the extraction process. We will discuss best practices on “how” and “when” to dial in espresso. We will learn how manipulating variables in the brewing process will affect the espresso. Like dose, volume, time and pressure. In addition, we will spend time analyzing the coffee based on roast profile, region, bean density and coffee processing.
 
 This course has a hands on element where we will be able to extract different coffees based on roast profile and describe how they taste.
 
 The goal of this course is to be able to better understand the nuances of a specific coffee and become more efficient and confident when dialing in espresso.
