Network Model Manager is a central repository and management system for creating and maintaining the power system network models. IPS®NMM is a sophisticated module that comes as part of the IPS®ENERGY. It allows user to create, manage, and store any number of CIM based network models. It supports the creation of CIM 16 and the latest CIM 17 models. Models can be assembled, forming a new model that contains all data from its past.
IPS®NMM is fully compliant with CIMug requirements for Network Model Management solutions. Those Requirements define the main objectives and product features, proposed requirement evaluation, typical NMM use cases, and the detailed requirements list.
Import CIM XML Models
The IPS®NMM fully supports network models in CIM XML formats regardless of what they
represent, its size, or its meaning as long as they are compliant with the CGMES and IEC 61970 standard. It means that assembled models, boundary models, model parts, small distribution equivalent networks, etc., are all treated equally and transparently.
IPS®NMM Web API
Allows execution of internally stored Python scripts and validation rules; it also enables browsing and CIM level CRUD operations on CIM objects.
User Interface and visualization
IPS®NMM model part explorer module provides user-friendly navigation through model parts, model part branches, and versions using list and navigation by model part branches and versions all through graphical branch representation. The IPS®NMM diagram view module provides a hierarchical rendering of CIM data using the equipment container’s hierarchy.
Model Data Validation
The IPS®NMM Validation module provides an infrastructure for a user to specify as many validation rules in runtime as necessary and stores these to the IPS®NMM database. Once stored, the validation rules could be executed on-demand in any active model part version (model loaded to application). The validation rules are implemented by C# language and processed by the internal rule engine.
PSS®E Static Parameters
The PSS-E static parameters are defined in the IPS®NMM information model via CIM extension, and the IPS®NMM transparently stores them in the database. Such PSS-E static parameters are taken into consideration.
Rating Mapping
en ratings are converted from PSS-E to CIM during PSS-E file import (and CIM conversion process) and the CIM model contains multiple rating types, it is necessary to specify mapping rules to which rating type will be mapped.
Import and Export of PSS®E Formats
The IPS®NMM supports the conversion of PSS®E files to CIM. It allows importing and exporting of PSS®E RAW, PSS®E SEQ, and PSS®E DYR files.
