  • Monarch 2 GM02S is an LTE Cat M1/NB1/NB2 module based on Sequans’ second generation Monarch 2 chip platform. It provides significant improvements in performance and power consumption while providing seamless migration because it is based on Sequans’ existing LTE-M/NB-IoT protocol stack---one of the most mature and proven in the entire LTE ecosystem. Monarch 2 GM02S is the first member of Sequans next generation “S” series module family, featuring a very small yet cost-effective form factor that requires no external components. Monarch 2 GM02S includes Sequans’ Single-SKU™ RF front end, enabling deployment in any band worldwide, and an integrated EAL5+ secure enclave, enabling secure key storage and crypto applications and integrated SIM (iSIM). An open SDK environment allows customers to port their own code into the module with low power applications. Monarch 2 GM02S utilizes a single rail power supply starting at 2.2 V, the lowest voltage supported by any LTE-M/NB-IoT module in the industry today, thereby unlocking battery and eBOM savings.   • Monarch 2 SiP, SKY66431, is a multi-band, multi-chip system-in-package (SiP), supporting 5G massive IoT (LTE-M/NB-IoT) platforms, co-developed by Sequans and Skyworks. It integrates the entire RF front end, transceiver, power management, RAM memory, crystals, and baseband modem for an LTE multi-band radio operating in the 699 to 2200 MHz frequency range. Monarch 2 SiP complies with the ultra-low power and reduced complexity feature requirements of the 3GPP release 14 LTE-Advanced Pro standard that defines narrowband, low data rate LTE technology for machine-type-communications (MTC), and is upgradable to 3GPP release 15 and 16. Monarch 2 SiP’s very high level of integration results in an 8.8 x 11.3 x 1.585 mm (max) BGA package for an industry-leading compact size. Monarch 2 SiP also embeds a low power GNSS functionality.

  • The Calliope 2 GC02S1 modules are based on Sequans’ second-generation Calliope 2 chip and deliver optimized 4G LTE Cat 1 connectivity for IoT, M2M and consumer devices such as wearables and hearables that require support for voice and speed higher than LTE-M. Calliope 2 provides significant improvements in performance and power consumption over Calliope 1, while providing seamless migration because it is based on Sequans’ existing 4G LTE protocol stack, one of the most mature and proven in the entire LTE ecosystem. The Calliope 2 GC02S1 modules comprise Sequans Calliope 2 platform and all other elements for a complete modem system, including an LTE-optimized transceiver, RF front end, and key interfaces in a compact, cost-effective form factor that requires no external components and includes an integrated EAL5+ secure enclave, enabling secure key storage, crypto applications, and integrated SIM (iSIM). Calliope 2 GC02S1 modules are optimized to support three regional variants covering North America, Japan, and Europe.
