OneTest, as part of an annual check-up, is an inexpensive simple blood test (from a single blood draw), to aid in the detection of multiple cancers at earlier, more treatable stages and before symptoms occur. It combines the use of protein biomarkers, individual health history, and a patented machine-learning algorithm to help assess an individual's risk of being diagnosed with cancer within one year. With annual testing, OneTest can detect subtle changes in cancer marker scores that may successfully lead to early diagnoses of developing cancer. Essentially helping to provide an early warning for some of the common cancers that firefighters are at an increased risk for, including lung, prostate, colon, respiratory and the digestive tract.
