  • Silver Ships recently delivered a custom fireboat to the great Lake of the Ozarks community in central Missouri. The fireboat's 34-foot frame is designed for patrolling the Lake of the Ozarks and providing the community with fire suppression support, EMS services and rescue from hazardous conditions.

Featured on the vessel are Triple Mercury Verado 350 HP outboards to provide efficient cruise and response speeds in excess of 45 MPH. It also sports a Duramax Marine Diesel powering a Hale of 80FC pump and a Class 1 Total Pressure Governor Pump engine control system to ensure fast and efficient response rate.

The fireboat includes a Forward 1250 GPM Monsoon Monitor on quick release that can be swapped out with a 5" Storz connection for supply and two Forward 2.5" Connections, along with a roof mounted remote controlled 2000 GPM Monsoon Monitor. In addition, there are two aft 2.5" Connections. Technology is up to date on this vessel with two Garmin GPSMP7612 displays, a Garmin 18 XHD radar and a Garmin GC 10 Standard Image Marine Camera. • Silver Ships recently delivered a first-of-its-kind fire rescue boat to Eglin Air Force Base. The Ambar 1100 (AM1100), a tried and tested ocean going RHIB, will assist in fire rescue missions. This vessel is the first of its kind, as this is the first Ambar 11-meter firefighting RHIB Silver Ships has built -- similar fire rescue builds have been smaller, at 8 meters in length.

With twin Mercury Verado 300 HP outboard motors, the 36-foot-long vessel has the ability to travel quickly, reaching top speeds of 41 knots. In addition, the vessel features a Darley 575 GPM Hercules 64HP fire pump package to best equip the vessel for its fire rescue mission. It features dual monitors on the bow that will allow for two operators to attack a fire stimultaneously.

Designed to exacting military specifications, the boat was built to support search and rescue and firefighting capability that was not available in the current fleet. The boat has an updated hull design for better forward visibility, including custom tapered collar system from WING. Aft deck space also allows two injuries or casualties on stretchers to be safely carried to shore.

The AM1100 features shock-mitigating SHOX seating and Viconic decking for maximum comfort and injury prevention during high speed missions. Additionally, the vessel contains a robust navigation and communication system including a Furuno navigation package with GPS, radar and gyroscope. It includes an enhance center console model that features Silver Ships' specially designed console with front windscreen and additional bolster seating.
