The Pneumeric Capnospot is a colorimetric capnography

device that provides objective, real-time, visual confirmation of therapeutic needle decompression. Capnospot, in conjunction with a needle or tube thoracostomy, confirms placement by allowing CO2 to pass through the device via a one way valve causing the paper to change from purple to yellow. This adjunct device can be used in addition to current TCCC Guidelines for treatment of tension pneumothorax. It reduces the number of ineffective procedures and increases overall procedure efficiency. The small, lightweight, and portable device measures 2.75" x 0.5" x 0.5" and weighs 5 grams each.
