OZ’ Award Winning sensor is able to measure simultaneously strain and temperature along the entire length of a standard telecom fiber. It is ideal for monitoring large structures including oil & gas pipelines, bridges, power lines, dams, and security fences. The sensor could also be used in detecting fire, corrosion/erosion.

  • OZ Optics’ Foresight™ series of fiber optic Distributed Strain and Temperature Sensors (DSTS) BOTDA modules are sophisticated sensor systems using stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers to measure changes in both strain and temperature along the length of an optical fiber. By deploying a sensing cable that includes standard telecom single mode fiber, users can detect when and where the strain or the temperature of the object has changed and correct potential problems before failure occurs. A unique feature of our Foresight™ DSTS system is its ability to measure temperature and strain, simultaneously and independently, allowing regions of temperature induced strain to be identified.

  • OZ Optics’ ForeSight™ family of fi ber optic Brillouin distributed strain and temperature sensors (DSTS) are sophisticated optical sensor systems employing Brillouin scattering. Distributed sensing provides a direct method of measuring the changes in strain and temperature along the entire length of an optical fi ber. A new BOTDR (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Refl ectometer) module based on spontaneous Brillouin scattering is now available. Even if there is a break somewhere on the fi ber, this unit can still measure strain / temperature up to the point of the break.

  • OZ Optics’ ForeSight™ family of fi ber optic Brillouin distributed strain and temperature sensors (DSTS) are sophisticated optical sensor systems employing Brillouin scattering. Distributed sensing provides a direct method of measuring the changes in strain and temperature along the entire length of an optical fi ber. A new unit combining BOTDA (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analyzer) and BOTDR (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Refl ectometer) capabilities is now available. If there is a break somewhere along the fi ber, this unit can be switched from BOTDA mode to BOTDR mode to continue measurements.
