BS&B Safety Systems is the recognized global leader in rupture disk technology, manufacturing products that protect power generation plants and personnel from overpressure dangers and explosions. BS&B rupture disks protect power plant systems, such as steam condensers, low pressure turbine exhaust hoods, deaerators, flash tanks and steam piping systems. Rupture Disks are fast-acting, providing full unrestricted and immediate openings usually in less than a few milliseconds to relieve pressure that damage property or hurt personnel. Sizes range from 1/8” through 44” and encompasses a pressure span from 1.5 psi to 100,000 psi. Temperature span is from -420°F to + 1000°F.
BS&B also manufactures flame arresters and breather vents under the FlameSaf® brand that are used to protect systems from fire and explosion. FlameSaf products are used for deflagration and detonation applications.
