The AGVs have a linear control system and fast response times, providing excellent transient performance in Gen-Set and mechanical drive applications. The valves also offer superior turbine performance in any mechanical drive application. The high accuracy of the valve in the start fuel range ensures consistent starting characteristics, and the AGV simplifies the integration of the on-skid gas system plumbing and wiring.
The AGV provides excellent start reliability, very fast response, and computer control, with the ability to transition from open to closed or closed to open in less than 100ms. The valve is powered by a 24 Vdc battery source and has a low power consumption. It has high dirt tolerance and a built-in flow meter with embedded sensors for measuring and reporting fuel flow, fuel supply pressure, fuel temperature, and engine fuel manifold pressure. The valve has a poppet-type design with two control loops and a high pre-load spring for a positive shut-off, making it pressure-independent for fuel supply pressure variations.
The AGV's electronics and sensors are in an integrated control housing with NEMA-7 compliant flanges for use in a Class I, Division 1 area for Group D gases. The electrical components are isolated from the gas stream, and the valve is made of corrosion-resistant materials, including anodized aluminum, stainless steel, and Buna-N rubber. It is IP66 rated and can use Super Viton® for applications with sour gas.
The AGV valve is used in engine fuel systems for accurate and fast fuel control. The valve is computer-controlled and adjusts fuel flow to match the fuel demand signal, with a fast response time of less than 100ms. The valve is constructed with corrosion-resistant materials and is isolated from the gas stream. The valve can be customized for specific engine applications, and an embedded computer makes the valve "smart" and programmable. The valve can also be used with advanced electronic control assemblies or any PLC Control System.
