Unmanned & Autonomy Technology

Headquartered in San Luis Obispo, CA, Edge Autonomy provides design and manufacturing of highly engineered unmanned system technologies utilized in a wide variety of military, civil, and academic applications. The company’s product portfolio includes proven, best-in-class tactical Group 2 & 3 unmanned aerial systems (UAS), subsystems, advanced payload systems, and resilient energy systems.

Edge Autonomy was born out of the merger between Jennings Aeronautics, Inc (JAI) and UAV Factory in September 2021. Established in 1998, the California-based JAI is the manufacturer of the “Stalker” series UAS family, including the VXE30 UAS, the latest and most advanced version of the "Stalker" series UAS. JAI provided the organization with further UAS engineering expertise and a 100,000ft2 manufacturing facility in the US. Legacy UAV Factory was established in Riga, Latvia circa 2008 and its 80,000ft2 facility provides manufacturing of the Penguin UAS and Octopus ISR Payloads. In August 2022, Edge Autonomy acquired Michigan-based Adaptive Energy, designer and manufacturer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) for back up and portable power applications.
