Firestorm is a US small business developing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) / loitering munition platforms that provide the warfighter with decisive advantages. Our systems are built upon modular open system approaches / weapon open systems architectures (MOSA / WOSA) and leverage new breakthroughs in additive manufacturing (AM) / 3D printing allowing us to print entire airframes in only 9 hours, achieve dramatic cost and time savings in production, and enabling high-volume production of attritable systems. We focus on rapid product development, iterative improvements, and future-proofed system designs; our Block 10 UAS accelerated from idea to preliminary design to first flight in under three months and is now being scaled up to increase range and payload to over 300 mi and 10 lb of payload. Firestorm produces entirely reworked airframe iterations on a less-than-monthly cadence.
