Tampa, FL – March 1st- Ombra, a leading technology and professional services firm, is pleased to announce its 5 year anniversary serving the DoD at large.
Michael Fieldson, Founder and President, has over 19 years of experience working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) as a mechanical engineer, technology developer, and program manager. At US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), he led numerous Science and Technology (S&T) developments including biometrics, imaging, nanotechnology, power and energy, and communication networks. He also led all unmanned aerial systems (UAS) efforts and the production of the latest AC-130J gunship.
After leaving government service, Michael founded Ombra to deliver SOF capabilities to the field. Since 2018, Ombra has grown to 25 employees including several US military veterans to solve the technology challenges of the DOD effectively, efficiently, and reliably.
