By allowing Veterans, Service Members, and IC Officers to engage with mental health support while maintaining complete anonymity, we precisely address the concerns of stigma and professional blowback which prevent many of those struggling from seeking help. Sound Off stands apart from other military mental health services precisely because of its focus on anonymity— it is the only service that allows for both complete anonymity and consistent contact with care. It has zero registration bureaucracy, and it allows for those unwilling or unable to access support elsewhere to speak with engaged with a Licensed Clinician, a clinically validated chatbot, or a screened and trained peer, “Battle Buddy”, if they’re not yet ready to speak with a professional.
