The Honor Foundation To Present Exclusive Transition Workshop as Key Non-Profit Exhibitor at SOF Week 2023

The Honor Foundation will share part of its highly coveted program in an interactive workshop focused on overcoming some of the biggest challenges Special Operations Forces veterans face as they move from military to civilian life.

May 2, 2023 – (Tampa, FL)  The Honor Foundation (THF), the premier transition institute that serves U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) by providing a clear process for their transition from military to civilian careers, announced today that it will join SOF Week 2023 as a key exhibitor, offering an exclusive career transition workshop during the annual event. This year’s conference is co-hosted this year by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Global Special Operations Foundation (GSOF), an organization that’s been a longtime partner of THF and for which THF serves as a transition pillar. The SOF For Life Transition workshop will share elements of THF’s programming (typically a three-month course) in a one-day, high-touch seminar that will arm attendees with the initial tools they need to tackle one of the greatest challenges they will face: transition to the private sector.

Transition from SOF careers to civilian life can be daunting for many operators—a difficult time to navigate without many resources to help. THF serves as the most comprehensive resource available for this elite group, as its program effectively translates their elite military skills to those needed and wanted by private sector companies. It provides a clear process for professional development and a diverse ecosystem of world class support and technology. Every step is dedicated to preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service career.

“THF has been helping the SOF community transition to civilian careers for almost a decade, and our program has helped transform the transition process into something with actionable value for our operators in a way that no one has before. SOF Week is a great opportunity to share a piece of that value with the broader SOF community, bringing us closer to our goal of impacting the entire Special Operations Forces Enterprise,” says Matt Stevens, CEO of THF.

The SOF For Life Transition Seminar, open to SOF and SOF enablers (and their spouses) who are transitioning or have recently transitioned from Active Duty Service, will provide participants with a suite of proficiencies that will help them convey their unique value to employers, gain networking skills, and create pathways for success as they pursue their next careers. This kind of career transition support is key to the universal health of the SOF community and is helping to infuse communities and businesses with capable, highly-skilled leaders.

The SOF For Life Transition Seminar will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 8:00am – 4:00pm EST at The Westin Tampa Waterside, in the Coral Reef Ballroom.THF will also host a booth (#L29) during the event at which they will be able to answer questions and share more information about their program.
