With skis a good operator can cover ground fast, carrying about the same sorts of loads on his back that he can carry when walking.With a pulk, on snow, it’s possible to take that load off the operators back allowing him or her to move more weight, or the same weight with less effort. It’s a simple concept, but a complex task. To be efficient there are a lot of details that need to be right.
